Schema Therapy for Couples online workshop

Eckhard Roediger, Germany
Born 1959, neuropsychiatrist, and psychotherapist. Trained in psychodynamic and
Cognitive Behavior Therapy. Formerly Director of a Psychosomatic Department of a clinic in
Berlin (GER), since 2007 working in Private Practice and Director of the Schema Therapy
Training Center in Frankfurt (GER). Member of the ISST Board since 2008, Past-President
and now honorary member.

Description:

In this training, you will learn how to include a partner into a running individual therapy as
well as working with couples from the very beginning. After giving an overview about the
theoretical framework and describing how mode cycles work, the 12-step module system
will be presented to stop cycles, activate the frustrated core needs, induce emotional
reconnection through imagery and solve problems in connection dialogues between the
Healthy Adult modes.
The training consists of two workshops

Each workshop consists of:

Didactic part: Presenting the theoretical part (two thirds of the workshop time, Maximum
allowed number for participants is 40 person).
Experiential part: Providing training on couple therapy techniques (one third of the workshop
time, Maximum allowed number for participants is 20-person, priority for early registration).

• Participation in the theoretical part does not require participation in the practical part
• Participation in the practical part requires attending the theoretical part.
• Previous attendance at schema therapy training is not necessary
