About Workshop:
Starting from the here and now, moving shoulder to shoulder, and being responsible for doing (or not doing) what needs to be done now is the essence of Professor Yehia Rakhawy’s approach to psychotherapy “Encounter, Togetherness and Responsibility (ETRe).” In this experiential workshop, participants are invited to explore ETRe through the expressive modalities of arts, music, and movement. They will engage in activities that nurture connectivity, co-creation, and a shared sense of responsibility. Celebration Spring and new beginnings will be brought in.
No previous experience in Arts therapy is necessary. It is open for therapists, counsellors, psychologists and anyone wishing to explore the creative process, thinking differently, imagining possibilities and expressing something through the Creative Arts.
Mona Rakhawy, Professor and head of Psychiatry department, Cairo University. She is an international trainer in group psychotherapy and group processes, and an adjunct faculty at the American University in Cairo. She is founder and the president of Rakhawy Institute for Training and Research (RITR), founder and vice-president of the Arab Association for Group Therapy and Group Work (AAGTW), founder and former president of the Egyptian Association for Group Psychotherapy and Group Processes (EAGT), co-chair of the Education Committee of the International Association for Group Psychotherapy and Group Processes (IAGP), and chair of the Evolutionary Psychiatry Section of the Arab Federation of Psychiatrists (AFP).
