What is it ?
Description of the workshop
If an unexpected scenario occurs in the first clinical interview, how will the interviewer respond? How can he get what the client wants from that interview? What can benefit the customer? And what could offend him?
There are many behaviors that clients may exhibit in first clinical interviews, and it is usual for each client to present different challenges in separate clinical interviews.
Aims to
- Provide an introduction to the clinical interview and its pillars in the context of cultural considerations, professional responsibility and the ethical regulations of the profession.
- It also deals with the reasons that lead to the reluctance to seek psychological counseling or psychotherapy, the role of the first clinical interviewer, how to determine the goal of the interview, how to establish a relationship with the client, build a therapeutic contract, gather information, and be familiar with the formulation of the case while maintaining a neutral and beneficial attitude and non-judgmental.
- The workshop will also address the components of the interview: preparation, initiation, and the essence of the interview, and ending it on time.
